5th independent readin response

Mia talked about what she got presents form her family or friends. She explained very details. And then she said “I should have known it was too good to be true. My birthday, I mean.” She thinks this party was too good. Finally she said present of Michael was the best for her. Mia said about her mother’s bad thing. She doesn’t like the part of her grandmother. At the part which Mia’s birthday her grandma brought her dog. And its reason is just if her grandma leaves, her dog will be along.

I think she is very girlish. I know Mia is girl, but her thinking is very pretty, because she always thinks about her boyfriends, Michael. After her birthday party, she every chapter talked about the song which was made by Michael. I’m a girl too, but I couldn’t think about only boyfriends or person who I like. Mia is very virgin. When I read this book, I always thought about it.

Not too long ago I took a trip and met a man who had a young son. When he found out that I was a teacher he began to ask about why teacher's insisit on promoting the concept of sharing. He opined that being selfish was natural and that teachers shouldn't expect their students to share. In fact, he had taught his son that he should only share if he felt the need to share. I guess I'm wondering if we should expect anything other than selfishness from the main character in your book? Don't we all act selfishly most of the time?
