I finished this book. I would like to share my favorite quote.

The quote is “I’ll still see him all the time, anyway. Or at least, a lot of time”(p.g.273). This quote was told by Mia to Michael. Michael is older than Mia, and so he will go to a university. At first, Mia was worry about that, however, she has believed him since the prom. Then she said this quote. She doesn’t care distance between him and her. She believes that his and her love is strong. I chose it, because I want to think like that for someone in the future. I think that believing someone is very important even the person is not lover. If people can believe other people, they can do anything, for example, study, teach or continue to love each other etc. So I like this quote.

I recommend “Princess in Pink” to read to teenagers, because in this book, characters are almost the same age as us. They use teen’s words like bad words. I guess teens can image story easily, because it is about school life and love. This book is like diary of main character. This book is very fun, and so I really recommend to read, especially girls.

I have almost done this book. Mia was invited from her boyfriend, Michael. The reason why he didn’t invite her is that he thought “the prom is lame”. But Mia and Michael talked about the prom and finally Michael decided to go to the prom then Mia became so happy. At the day of the prom, she tried to make up her face, hair and even nails. She is so exciting. I put a picture that shows she is very exciting. She said “I’m a PROM PRINCESS!!!!” (pg.261)

When I read this part, I thought every girl wants to be looks beautiful. As you know, almost all the girls like to make up themselves. I like too. In this part, Mia talked about nails, hair style, and dress. I imaged the time that I’m painted my fingernails. During this time, I’m so exciting, because I’m watching how to paint. It is interesting. Also I pleasured the completion nails. I like make my hair to roll. I like these time. I guess that only girls can image this situation, because boys don’t paint their nails and make up their face. But I guess they care about their hair style. So I suggest to image the time that you make up your hair style when you have a party. (if you are a boy) It is exciting, isn’t it?

6th independent reading response

One Sunday, Mia talked with her mother about relationship between her and Michael. Her mom wanted to know how they are. She asked questions a lot, but Mia didn’t answer, and she said only “Okay, mom” Or “Thanks, mom”. After that time, Mia started to clean up her room, because she always feels like she has to clean her room before she can start homework. After she cleaned her room, she went to back her bed again. Then her mom came her room and said “Why are you still in bed at noon on Sunday? Isn’t this when you usually meet your friends for dim sum?”
I like the quote which Mia said when she talked about reason of cleaning up. It is “Something about a clear environment making for clear thinking” (pg.121). I always think this too. And she continued to say that “Maybe it’s just because homework is so boring I‘ll take any excuse to put off doing it” (pg.121). Again I think that too. Before I start to study or do homework, I start to clean up my room, because I don’t want to start study. Then I always find some pictures or interesting books, and then I start to read them. I think that I and Mia are similar thinking so I noticed that I can continue to read this book because of that.
